A Napper alternative for sleep tracking

Updated September 22, 2026

Napper is a sleep-first app: age-based schedules, personalized timing on Unlimited, and a large sound library. Napple is a smaller iPhone sleep tracker. You log sleeps, see the next window from your baby’s recent days, and keep everyday logging free after a 14-day preview.

Napple is not Napper with a different name. We don’t play white noise, we don’t ship a sleep course in the app, and we don’t run on Android. If you want sounds, mixed-phone sharing, or feeding next to sleep, stay on Napper. If the job is a shared sleep log and a next-nap window from your own data, Napple is built for that.

What Napper does well

Napper’s official pricing lists Free and Unlimited. Free includes daily sleep tracking and a sleep schedule based on age. Unlimited is $69.99 a year and adds sleep analysis and personalization, trends and statistics, custom baby sleep sounds, an extensive baby sleep course, and unlimited tracking categories.

The Napper homepage is explicit about the sleep job: tailor-made nap schedules, more than 30 sleep sounds, and tips. It also mentions tracking nursing, bottles, and diapers. Confirm which of those sit on Free versus Unlimited in the app you install.

Where Napple is different

Napple does not start from a generic age schedule. You log sleeps. The clock shows the next window from recent days. After 14 days with the full app, the log stays writable: logging, editing, and family sync remain free. Pro is optional for the prediction, Lock Screen Live Activity, reminders, and reports beyond 14 days.

There are no in-app sounds and no course. For typical ranges by age, not a rigid timetable, see the baby sleep guide.

Who should stay on Napper

  • You want white noise and lullabies in the same app
  • You like an age-based schedule on day one, before much logging
  • You want the in-app sleep course
  • Someone on the care team uses Android
  • You want nursing, bottles, or diapers next to sleep, if your plan includes those categories

Napple is a fair next step if most of this is true:

  • Both parents are on iPhone
  • You want the next window from your baby’s recent sleeps, not only an age chart
  • You want everyday sleep logging to keep working without Unlimited
  • You already use a separate sound machine or don’t need sounds

Start a sleep log in Napple

  1. Download Napple from the App Store and add your baby.
  2. Log sleeps with one tap to start and one tap to end. Hold to backdate if you missed one.
  3. Create a family account and sign in on the other iPhone with the same email and password so the log stays in one place.
  4. Use the 14-day preview to see next-sleep predictions. After that, keep logging for free, or continue with Pro if the window on the clock is what you want.

Questions about switching

  • Is Napple a full Napper alternative?

For sleep timing, it can be. Napper also sells sounds, a course, and extra tracking categories. Napple is sleep only, on iPhone. If those extras are why you opened Napper, stay.

  • How much does Napper cost?

Napper’s pricing page lists Unlimited at $69.99 a year. Free includes daily sleep tracking and an age-based schedule. Confirm the price Apple or Google shows in your country.

  • Does Napple still have a free plan?

Yes. Your first 14 days include the full app, with no payment info to start. After that, logging, editing, and family sync stay free. Reports show the last 14 days. Napple Pro is optional if you want to keep next-sleep predictions, Lock Screen updates, reminders, and full report history.

  • Does Napple include sleep sounds?

No. Napper’s Unlimited plan includes custom baby sleep sounds. Napple does not play white noise or lullabies.

  • Does Napple work on Android?

Not today. Napple is an iPhone app. Napper lists iPhone and Android. If your care team is on mixed phones, Napple is not the switch.

  • Can I import my Napper history into Napple?

Not yet. Sleep logging in Napple starts as a new history. Keep any export from Napper as your backup.

A sleep log that stays writable

If you used Napper for timing more than for sounds or courses, try Napple. Log in one tap, see the next window, and keep both parents on the same timeline.
